Introducing Daya Chaney Webb

Please join me in welcoming Daya Chaney Webb as a contributor to the Alliance Against Restraint and Seclusion. We are very exited to have Daya joining our team and look forward to working with her to impact change.

A mom to two teenage sons (one with autism), Daya lives in Towson and as been an education advocate  in Baltimore County since 2013 serving as advisory council Chair to the Board of Education, providing guidance on topics like special education needs in the county, organizing through grassroots initiatives and coalition building with strong partnerships.

Among other state level legislative initiatives since, she lobbied with grassroots organizations for the Hybrid School Board Bill in Annapolis, and it passed in 2014!

Daya is also active in federal legislative advocacy for health care, education and overall civil rights for children with complex medical needs and disabilities.
When she’s not meeting with policy makers to protect the vulnerable and creating strategy for change, Daya loves live music, cooking, and travel to anywhere waterfront.

Daya will be working as our Legislative Director and we are excited to have her join the team.
